One Way Ticket: Rasta at Home and Abroad è il primo album solista del cantante reggae 'conscious' Ras Tewelde, attivo nella scena da più di dieci anni e conosciuto come ambasciatore del messaggio Rastafari della musica reggae nel mondo.
L'album, la cui uscita è prevista per il 3 Maggio 2011, contiene varie collaborazioni con artisti giamaicani realizzate durante i numerosi viaggi nell'Isola. La più importate è sicuramente quella con il leggendario Sugar Minott, con cui ha registrato una delle ultime canzoni prima della sua scomparsa nel luglio 2010 (Mr. Squadie). Le altre combination con i veterani del 'dj style' Josie Wales, Stitchie e Louie Culture, ma ci sono anche stelle nascenti dall'Europa e dall'Africa come Lion D, Jamafrica e Sahara Benji, direttamente da Shashamane in Etiopia, dove Ras Tewelde trascorre regolarmente lunghi periodi di tempo.
L'album contiene singoli già usciti come Everywhere I Go, Mama Africa (la combination con i Jamafrica il cui video è passato nelle tv musicali italiane) e You Cyaan Do Dat, di cui è stato girato il videoclip con Louie Culture a Portland, in Giamaica. Di particolare rilievo le musiche, interamente realizzate dallo storico beat-maker di Ras Tewelde, The Magista, e mixate nel Bizzarri Studio di Modena.
Il messaggio, dal titolo dell'album ai testi delle canzoni, è incentrato sull'Africa, il Continente che custodisce le origini dell'uomo, e sulla sua rinascita, possibile soltanto attraverso una spiritualità pervasa di Pace e Amore, le cui fonti primarie di ispirazione sono Haile Selassie I e la terra d'Etiopia. La mappa seguita dalle canzoni è un viaggio spirituale ed emotivo che parte dall'Africa per il Nuovo Mondo, passando per l'Oceano, per ritornare poi, di nuovo, in Africa. Un 'biglietto di sola andata' per l'Etiopia, la madre terra non solo per i Rasta ma per tutte le persone che cercano un luogo dove ritrovare la propria spiritualità. One Way Ticket è anche il primo videoclip tratto dall'album, un racconto per immagini del vissuto di Ras Tewelde come Rastaman durante i suoi lunghi soggiorni in Etiopia e in Jamaica.
Dopo l'uscita dell'album Ras Tewelde si esibirà insieme a Lion D e alla Livity Band nel Rastafari Children Tour, che toccherà le città d'Italia e d'Europa. Il nome del tour è tratto da Rastafari Children No Cry, la combination con Lion D prossimamente in uscita come videoclip.

ONE WAY TICKET: Rasta at Home and Abroad, the first Album by the conscious Rasta singer Ras Tewelde, produced by Bizzarri Records, a new Italian independent label, which has recently exploded into the international dimension of Reggae Music.
The album will have many important combinations with international artists, such as the Jamaican legend Sugar Minott (Mr. Squadie) and the DJ’s Josie Wales, Stitchie and Louie Culture and other rising stars from Europe and Africa, like the Italian Lion D or Sahara Benji, a youth from Shashamane, Ethiopia.
The first videoclip released are Mama Africa, in combination with Jamafrica and You Cyaan Do Dat, in combination with Louie Culture. The next videoclip is One Way Ticket, that shows Ras Tewelde's life as Rastaman and his travels in Ethiopia and Africa. A particular attention has to be given to the sophisticated instrumentals, where the collaboration with his historical beat-maker, The Magista, evokes of yearning for Revelation’.
There’s a message which is clear here, from titles to lyrics: the Continent of Africa shelters the roots of humanity, and Repatriation has to be the new Re-birth for Ethiopia. It is a Vision, vibrating in the essence of Love, with a constant spiritual link to his primary source of inspiration, Haile Selassie I and the land of Ethiopia. The road map followed by the songs is a spiritual and emotional journey from Africa to the New Ancient World across the Ocean and then, back again to Africa.
This Summer Ras Tewelde will tour Italy and Europe with Lion D and The Livity Band for the Rastafari Children Tour, from the song Rastafari Children No Cry.
